Paige and Tim's Wedding Cake

This cake serves 328. The whole cake is lemon with half of it having a raspberry filling and the other half has a lemon curd with fresh fruit which in season was strawberries, peaches, and blackberries. All the cake layers were soaked with a lemon simple syrup and the whole cake was frosted with Italian Meringue Buttercream.

We made this cake at work for a gift for one of our co-workers.

Jodie, Patricia, and myself executed the cake. We had a great

time doing it.

We used a level all the way up and when we got to the top we had a level cake. Here is a picture of the completed cake before delivery with the level.

The colors for the wedding were royal blue and hot pink. The royal blue cake base matched perfect to the royal blue table runners at the reception site. A touch of royal blue was pulled out with some scroll work. Rose petals and flowers circled the base of every cake layer.

Badger Cakes

These cakes were made at work. They were a special order for the University of Wisconsin-Madison. They were to be used at a special party that was held at the UW's Athletic Director's house. It is so exciting to be chosen to be the baker's for this special event.

The cake flavors are carrot cake with fresh orange juice soaked in the layers and an orange juice cream cheese frosting. Chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and chocolate italian merigne buttercream. Lastly a coconut cake, made with yellow cake, a coconut bavarian filling, 7 minute frosting outside and garnished with toasted coconut.

We order the flowers at my favorite florist and they were able to get us something in the signature Badger red color.

We got to deliver them to the Kohl Center and met the Executive Chef and got a tour of his kitchen. It is the biggest kitchen I have ever seen in my life and they had equipment I had never heard of. We got to hear about how many people are working during a Badger game-it's over 200 employees, working as a team from the kitchen to the concession areas all at the same time! Amazing!!
